Description

Pour Les Amis, printed by E. Durand, Paris, 1964.

Limited Edition, #229/2000. 4to, red, black and white portfolio with abstract drawing to front, one corner bumped, presumably dropped, not affecting interior, 11 loose folio sheets folded twice, printed on pure Johannot yarn, laid in loosely and accompanied by illustrated 7 aeronautical illustrations in different formats by Georges Mathieu in black pen on coated, glossy paper, reflecting a different facet of judo as a spiritual practice. Lacking original slipcase.
Overall Very Good condition, very scarce in the trade. Robert J. Godet (1921-1960) was a French writer, editor, and publisher who published many central literary figures, including Georges Bataille, Antonin Artaud, and Henri Michaux, collaborating with artists like Andre Masson and Pablo Picasso.
