Near Fine gray cloth over boards, copper gilt lettering stamped to cover and spine, very light bumping to tips, previous owner name written on title page, pages clean and bright, showing no other visible wear. Fine dustjacket, lightly rubbed at top of spine, else clean, intact, and protected in Mylar. 131 pp. Replete with full color images of Kenneth Callahan's paintings. This book was published in conjunction with a 2001 exhibition of the artist's work held at the Museum of Northwest Art. Approval of the final galleys of work for this publication was Beth Callahan's final labor of love for her late husband, as she passed soon after. Callahan was one of "the big four" of the Northwest School, or Northwest Mystics, which also included Guy Anderson, Morris Graves and Mark Tobey. Their styles involved combinations of Pacific Northwest influences including Asian and Indigenous art.
