Notes: Near Fine + tall 4to exhibit catalog, pictorial wraps, translucent page at frontis, seven full-color plates, 24 pp. Virtually new aside from some very minor rubbing to spine and temperature waffling to back page (not water damage). A fine example of the artist's 80s and early 90s works on paper. Bridget Riley (1931-) is a pioneer in optical art, or Op-Art movement, a subset of abstractionists that used patterns, contrasting colors, and geometric lines to access specific parts of the brain, suggesting movement and dimension in novel ways.
