English Language, Very Good SC, quarto, 8 1/2" x 11", 46 pp.

No date, circa 1990. Black paper wrappers with staple binding. Black-and-white illustration on front. No lettering to spine. Covers have light rubbing (mostly along spine) and slight wear to edges and tips, else pristine and intact, binding tight. Pages pristine and intact. 46 pp. Replete with black-and-white illustrations. Published on the occasion of an exhibition organized by Exit Art (1982-2012), a cultural center that was based in New York. The show featured Krzysztof Wodiczko (b. 1943), a Polish artist best-known for his video art projections displayed on the architectural facades of buildings and monuments. Recurring themes in his art include war, trauma, memory, communication, and societal issues. The catalog focuses on two of Wodiczko's works, New York Tableaux: Tompkins Square and The Homeless Vehicle Project, both about homelessness. Tableaux is a series of projections that contemplate the plight of homeless people and the riots that took place in New York's Tompkins Square Park between homeless protestors and police during the 1980s. The Homeless Vehicle Project was an installation artwork consisting of a multi-functional, one-person "homeless vehicle" that acted as a shelter. Essays by Papo Colo, Neil Smith, Wodiczko, David Lurie, Rosalyn Deutsche, and Julie Courtney.
