Overall Very Good, structurally sound copy bound in tall, heavy quarto format measuring 8 1/4" x 11 1/4" in width and height, respectively, brown cloth covers (surely a rebind), blind-stamped ruling to front and rear thereof, and with newer moire endpapers. Probably original publisher's leather backstrip features five raised bands separating six compartments into which are stamped ornate designs including fleurs-de-lis. Bumping to head and foot, heavy wear to front and rear joints, rubbing to gilt-lettered titles, else quite lovely of interior, and all edges gilt. Fine black-and-white illustrations galore including at front, tissue-protected (though guard has a short closed tear there. revious owner's bookplate affixed to inside front flap, that of Albert Bachman.
