Blue-gray cloth-covered boards in a white paper dust jacket. Full-page color illustration on front panel. Gray lettering on dust jacket spine. Gilt decoration on front cover. Gilt lettering on book spine. Covers have slight fading along edges and a tiny bump at bottom tip of fore-edge on front, else pristine and intact, binding tight, sharp tips. Dust jacket has light age toning and tiny spots of discoloration, else clean and intact, not price-clipped. Dust jacket protected in a paper-backed Mylar sleeve. Pages have light age toning, occasional tiny spots on interior pages, and tiny spots of discoloration on edges of text block, else pristine and intact. Leon Kossoff (1926-2019) was a British figurative painter. He is perhaps best-known for his portraits and landscapes set in London. Many of his paintings are characterized by his gestural, expressive brushwork and use of the impasto painting technique.
